About us

From a Single Jar to a Growing Range

iV’s Gourmet officially began at the end of 2022, almost by chance. A good friend suggested we try our jalapeño mayo in the market, but we felt one product wasn’t enough to launch with. So, alongside the jalapeño, we introduced two more flavours: horseradish mayo and curry mayo.iV’s Gourmet officially began at the end of 2022, almost by chance. How It All Started
The idea for our very first product, the jalapeño mayo, came when we wanted to recreate a specific burger sauce. Our version turned out even better than expected, and soon it became the star of parties and braais. Friends loved it, and before long, so did we.

Bringing the Brand to Life
With a background in design, we were able to craft our own labels and build a strong brand identity from the start. This helped us look professional and market-ready, even as a small business finding its way.

 

Where We Are Today
Today, our bestsellers include the Biltong-Style Mayo, Asian Chili Crisp Mayo, and Curry Mayo—each with its own loyal fans. We’re also especially excited about our new range, Turn Up Your Mayo. These versatile spice blends can be stirred into any mayo to create a bold dip, spread onto burgers and wraps, or even rubbed onto meats for the braai. We’re busy developing recipes to showcase just how many ways you can enjoy them.
